Long, long ago,
when the world was a wild place,
the earth trembled in fear,
as the mountains formed,
primeval forests became layered ash,
as volcanic fires spread a lava'd waste.
Continents rose and fell beneath the waves.
Snow and ice, miles deep,
marched across the land.
Poles altered as Mother Earth,
shuddered on her course, struck frequently,
from outer space.
What strange creatures,
lived through those storms,
adapting to heat, sound, water and air,
Make no mistake my doubtful friend,
our ancestors were there from the start,
So as nature intended,
with the tree and the cloud,
we are all part,
of this celestial plan.
